Electrically powered solar ferries F21 Stop Krampenburg
Until the end of 2013, conventionally diesel-powered ships were used on the BVG ferry lines (exception "Ruderfähre" F24). At the beginning of 2014, the first two electrically operated solar ferries F11 and F12 started operation and have been operating all year round since then. From April 2014, the solar ferries F21 and F23, which are also electrically powered, were added and operate seasonally from April to October. The batteries are charged overnight and supplied with electricity by the solar cells mounted on the roof.
