Ubiquitous electricity: that’s the idea at the core of ubitricity, a Berlin-based company founded in 2008. Electric vehicles should be able to charge anywhere they park. The solution: A mobile electricity meter for EVs that can be integrated into the charging cable. This makes charge points so small and affordable that they can be installed practically anywhere – even integrated into urban furniture, such as street lights.
Users close a mobile electricity contract for their mobile meter. The conditions set down in this contract apply at any ubitricity charge point where users charge. At the end of the month, users receive a transparent invoice of all electricity that was charged – down to the kilowatt hour.
