Everybody, listen up! Acoustic passenger information to be tested
When some M4 trams and buses on line 186 talk to passengers, they shouldn't be surprised! Since February 2018, BVG has been testing various solutions for one year to offer blind and visually impaired people acoustic passenger information in real time at bus and tram stops. Three different approaches are being tested: The "talking vehicle", the "talking stop" and apps for the "talking smartphone".
Eighteen trams, ten buses, 3 of 8 bus stops and 4 tram-stops have already been equipped with acoustic solutions.
