STREETLIFE

Reducing cities CO2 emissions, using information and communication technologies, in order to find innovative mobility solutions, is STREETLIFE's key aim. In order to acheive their goal, STREETLIFE developed a multimodal information system for urban spaces. Personal real-time information, which is displayed on mobile devices, functions to motivate transport users to use sustainable transport modes more frequently. Transport management centers and municipalties benefit from solutions regarding observations and affects of urban traffic. Both measures help by reducing emissions in cities. Transport users are provided with mobile apps for personalised route planning. These evaluate real-time data and available transport modes. The heterogenous database is useful for the traffic management, so that they can analyse current traffic situations. Municipalities will benefit from STREETLIFE solutions, which support their planning processes.
