Sustainable urban logistics
With 25% of all traffic related CO₂ emissions the last mile is a big contributor to inner city pollution. This micro hub is a scalable module for more sustainable urban logistics. Goods flowing into the city are consolidated here and distributed emission-free with electric cargo bikes. The energy for cooling and bikes is generated locally through solar panels. A cooperation of experts in different fields made this unique model possible. The Smart City | DB project weColli acts as digital platfrom, while Velogista is the local bike carrier, inno2grid the provider of green energy and the eco-village Brodowin one of the suppliers.
